Gallery - Wangi RSL - Liz Head Shave
On the 14th of July 2017 Wangi RSL and its members hosted a Head Shave event for Liz. Liz had started chemo and decided to take her hair on her own terms. The event raised $8208 for Ovarian Cancer Australia and a number of people shaved their head and supported Liz. Steve (Stephen Hannon) from the Wangi Barber shop did all the shaves along with hairdresser Liz's daughter Danielle Kriaris. Arlene Field was the guest speaker and Liz's daughter Rhainnon Threadgate read Liz's speech on the night. Liz is grateful to everyone who came, participated and donated. Three (3) big donation shout outs go to: 1) The RSL its members and guests raised $2452 on the night. 2) Darren Campbell & Eraring Power Station Employees who ran a collection and raised funds for his shave which was matched my origin energy. They raised $1719. 3) Origin Foundation matched the amount raised by Eraring Power Station staff and donated a whopping $1720.
